Glass-Glass Modules

The series SOL100GG is a new generation of solar modules. The frameless encapsulation of solar cells between two sheets of glass provides maximum mechanical stability, durability and safety. The aesthetic appearance of the black SOL100GG modules makes them suitable for standard applications and for building integration.

With a size of about 1 square meter and a weight of about 15 kg the modules can be installed easily. The front glass is tempered and very resistant to hail and other mechanical impacts. The CIGS absorber ensures an excellent energy yield even at low insolation levels. The patented solar cell interconnection scheme makes the modules very resistant to partial shading.

Solarion's product portfolio also includes semi-transparent models of glass-glass modules. Module sales will start in the spring of 2012. At the time of the market launch the modules will be certified according to the standards of IEC 61646, IEC 61730 and UL 1703.
