Solarion's core business is the development, manufacturing and sale of highly efficient and cost effective thin film solar cells and modules.
As a spin-off from a leading institute in ion-beam technology, the Leibniz-Institut for Surface Modification, Leipzig (Germany), a proprietary process technology has been developed which allows a more cost effective manufacturing compared to conventional photovoltaics.
Our solar modules have advanced new characteristics that will reduce the overall system costs for photovoltaic installations. Our customers and partners will benefit from new photovoltaic applications as well as from our technological knowledge base.
Compared to conventional photovoltaics our products will allow a photovoltaic energy conversion at lower costs. The energy payback time of the entire photovoltaic system will be reduced dramatically. Solar energy generated with our systems will become competitive with conventional energy sources based on fossil fuel.
Based on our tremendous progress we are planning to expand from our existing pilot plant into industrial mass production.
